We would like surveilance cameras put up in the Merrill Memorial Park Cemetary to help stop the vandalism. In the past there has been so much vandalism with tombstones being tipped over, floral arrangements and other memories stolen off the graves. Something has to be done, and people need to be held responsible for these actions. This past week a person or persons had gone through and smashed all the statues and other memorial displays in the baby section of our cemetary. It had been reported to the local police department but they are unable to do anything because they do not have any evidence of who is responsible. With surveilance cameras they will be able to identify who is doing the vandalism and hold the responsible party accountable for their actions.
The stories shared about families finding their loved ones' memorials destroyed are gut-wrenching and confirm we must act now. Contact your city council representative today to demand they prioritize security measures at this site. We need to keep pressure on the police department until they agree to install cameras to stop this cycle of disrespect.

The momentum behind this push proves that our community will not tolerate the destruction of our loved ones' resting places. Call the city manager's office today to demand they review our proposal for park security.

My mothers grave is there. I am so sick of hearing about this. Put the cameras up already so these people can be caught and punished.
