Final supporters
Installing a traffic light in front of Campbell County High School (Lafollette, TN) is a matter of public safety. The increased traffic volume just before and just after school is choking the ability of Jacksboro Pike.
As students, parents of students, teachers, staff and the community at large, we request that the Tennessee Department of Transportation sit through the afternoon exodus from the school so as to see the chaos first hand. It can take up to 45 minutes to navigate from the school parking lot onto Jacksboro Pike.
Rather than install directional signs all along the 4-lane, we prefer TDOT spend our tax dollars on an improvement that is needed, i.e., a traffic light in front of Campbell County High School. Our job is to let them know we expect it. Please sign this petition in support of a better traffic flow in front of CCHS and add your comments.

I think that a traffic light would be a much needed safety precaution for all our young drivers. It would also be easier to exit after sporting events. I feel one is long overdue.
A traffic light has been needed for many years. I hope this petition helps to get a traffic light at this location. Very dangerous trying to enter the main highway at all hours of the day. There has been many accidents at this location and also many near accidents that have not been included into the data at this location.
This is brought up every year, but TDOT keeps on saying that there's not enough traffic to justify a traffic light. I hope with enough people we can change their mind.
I'm in the CCHS Band and we don't get out of practice until 6 and it is very difficult and dangerous for me to pull out of the school
My daughter was involved in an accident while attempting to pull out from the High School... Thank God is was just minor, but it worries me every day when my children are leaving school! Please help make this area safer for all!
