To request a Special Meeting of Members, we need 572 (10%) active dues paying members of Pilates Method Alliance to sign this petition.

PETITION TO CALL FOR A SPECIAL MEETING OF MEMBERS
I, AS A DUES PAYING MEMBER OF THE PILATES METHOD ALLIANCE, AM ASKING THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS TO CALL FOR A SPECIAL MEETING OF MEMBERS.
Purpose
Beginning with a conscious value for diversity, equity, transparency and professionalism, our agenda for the Special Members Meeting is:
1. Resignation of existing Leadership (President, Vice-President, and ED).
2. Reconstitution and mandate of an interim-Board to appoint an interim-ED and arrange a permanent Board that will hire a permanent ED.
3. Designing and implementing a transparent and inclusive roadmap for that accountability.
Process
The Special Meeting of Members will be comprised of discussions, resolutions, and votes by Membership.
Benefit to PMA and Membership at Large
The benefit of the Special Meeting of Members will be a reconstitution of the PMA Leadership and Board that better represents—in thoughts and action—the Membership’s shared value for diversity, equity, transparency, and professionalism.

My membership is up next month and I have decide where to leave the professional organization I have belonged to since becoming a Pilates teacher almost 10 years ago. I am ready to sever my toes with PMA due to its lack of transparency, failure to support its members
Please listen to your members. We have been supporting you for years & are demanding change.
If the PMA represents the USA As a pedigree we really need to up our game. Money making events are not enough.
We Must address the issues that led to All four Black board members to resign at the same time.
Please hold this meeting. It is vital to the future of this organization and the Pilates industry at large.
Thank you for the opportunity to be relevant. The PMA can have the ability to mean something.
My vote for those who believes power of believing the love Pilates over believing love of power

(I got cut off while still editing! ...That should have read “have to decide whether” and “ties,” not “toes!”) (continued)...and it’s repeated failure to include and support the BIPOC and traditionally oppressed communities. I would like to give the PMA one last chance to share with us the answers to all the important questions posed by this petition.
