I have been walking through the cafeteria and watching the trash cans fill up with items that should be headed to a recycling bin. It is frustrating to see our daily habits ignore the health of our environment. I am planning to approach the administration to discuss how we can realistically implement a better system on campus.

Watching this momentum build shows me how many of my fellow students are just as tired of seeing our trash head straight to the landfill. It feels like the school administration cannot ignore us for much longer when so many people are demanding better habits.

people use the recycling bins at dci expecting that they will be sorted accordingly but everything ends up in the trash. its already messed up that we dont recycle but its worse that people are made to believe that we do.
The amount of work that this puts DCI students and cleaning crew through isn't acceptable. If the students are going to do the extra work of separating their garbage, and if the cleaning crew has to do the extra work of emptying different bins, then the recycling should go to a recycling plant.
Fix this please it makes no sense to have the bins out if they just dump it all in the dumpster anyway. get it together!!
i literally always check if my bottles are empty before putting them in the blue bin because i thought we were actually doing something good. kinda feels like a waste of time now lol.
I steal milk from the cafeteria, and when I'm done I throw them in the trash :( Sad to hear they aren't getting RECYCLED INSTEAD !! :0 I go by tamashi for some reason :P urdeedurdeedur har har

It's sad to hear how we have fake trash cans. Thanks for letting us know! So everyone sign the petition. This is a small cause that helps a long way.
