WHEREAS there are currently hundreds of residents of the city of East Lansing that live in "multi-family complexes" (apartment complexes with predominately off-campus MSU students)
WHEREAS these residents are forced to make a choice:
1) Accumulate recyclable materials in an already very limited living space and use an automobile to take the accumulated recyclable materials to a drop off location OR
2) Discard all unwanted matter in a dumpster to be sent to a landfill
WHEREAS the majority of said residents are MSU students who live off campus, many of whom do not have an automobile at their disposal and only use a bicycle or their feet.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the petitioners demand the City of East Lansing and the major property management companies (DTN, Campus Village, CRON, CRMC, the Chandler properties, etc.) to work together to provide recycling services (for plastic, metal, glass, and paper materials) for residents of "multi-family complexes" (apartment complexes ).
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED - GO GREEN!

I love MSU's 24 hour recycling facility, but it would make a world of difference if students could just take recycling out with the trash.
Living at DTN is impossible if you actually care about the planet. I shouldn't have to Uber to the recycling center just to drop off a few boxes.
PLEASE MAKE THIS HAPPEN. Carrying bags of glass to campus on the bus is a nightmare.
This is awesome, Nathan! I will always support a petition to help keep this earth beautiful!
Many of us don't have cars either, so we have to inconvenience a friend with a car.
VEGAN IS GREEN! NO MORE DISESL VEHICLES CAUSE DISESL VEHICLES ARE NOT GREEN.

I've lived in an apartment complex for the past year; I've had to collect all of my recycling in a box and take it out to MSU's facility every couple of weeks. It would be so much more convenient, and make me so much more inclined to recycle, if I just had pickup at my apartment complex!
