While doing a neighbourhood clean up with SFX, our science class noticed that about 80% of the litter around Riverside South was recyclable waste from Dairy Queen. We later found out that the Dairy Queen on Spratt Road does not have any recycling bins available to customers. We believe that if Dairy Queen were to introduce recycling bins to their store, it would greatly reduce the amount of litter found around the neighbourhood and would be a small step forward in improving our ecosystem. We know we're not the only ones who would like to see less litter around the community. The more support we have behind this request, the more likely it'll be that a change will occur! Thank you in advance :)
I thoroughly agree with this petition. As a member of the Riverside South Community for over 10 years, I can say that the placement of this Dairy Queen has caused immense pollution in the local ecosystem. Before this establishment there was little to no litter around the Spratt Road/Limebank area, even throughout the foundation of a High School. I believe that the addition of recycling bins will aid to this problem, and help make Riverside South a cleaner community.
