At the Granada Hills Charter High School campus you can see many recycling bins. All the recycling bins are used as trash cans. You can see how the janitors when cleaning carry one bin, only for trash...not for recycling. We've attempted to contact many employees on this matter and we haven't gotten any responses. If the administration at Granada won't attempt to recycle we must take a stand! Sign this petition if you believe real recycling should take place on our campus. Thank you.

I met with the facilities management team today to review their current waste disposal logistics and internal protocols. We are currently drafting a formal proposal to separate collection streams for the next board report.

The volume of support has now caught the attention of the student newspaper which requested an interview for their upcoming edition. I am preparing a formal request for a meeting with the facilities director to address the current waste management practices.

seriously why even have them if they dont get used right. lets fix this.
its so annoying seeing everyone toss water bottles in the regular bin when the recycling ones are right there. do better.
RIDICULOUS. waste of school money and bad for the planet.
we need to actually start sorting our stuff. way too much goes into the landfill that could be recycled.
I see the janitors just dump everything into the same bag all the time. kinda defeats the whole purpose of having separate bins.
