Latin & Ballroom and CMD (Classical & Modern Dance) are the only 2 dance-related members of Warwick sport. There are over 12 dance-related societies.

Warwick Sport owns Westwood Dance studio and therefore prioritise its usage to Warwick Sport members, meaning that dance societies are a) offered very limited time (if any at all) in the dance studio and b) as a second-choice behind the 2 Warwick Sport dance groups. Many dance societies are therefore left struggling to find venues in which to hold their dance lessons for the next academic year that; a) are suitable to hold lessons in (e.g. hard floor needed for Tap and Irish Dance) and b) make the dance societies look professional.

PLEASE sign this petition to get dance societies heard in order to hopefully provide us with the usage of Westwood Dance Studio a well as those who already are allowed to use it. DANCE societies should be allowed to use a DANCE studio - simple as.
