The change we fought for regarding D2C status for adult children is officially happening. It has been a long and exhausting road but knowing these years of service will now better support our families makes the struggle worth it. Keep checking the portal for the implementation details as they roll …

Family is one of the most important bonds that we can have. One of the best perks of our jobs is inexpensive travel for us and our immediate family members. For some of us, our immediate family are parents, for others it is our children.

I have been with American for over 30 years and my parents have used 2 passes total. I have been able to travel with my children until they turned 24. Both are still at home, both are students and our family vacation every year has made us closer. I have talked to a lot of flight attendants that have children over the age of 24 and it is very difficult having the D3 status. I would like to propose a D2C for children over 24. Unfortunately my mother has passed away and my father can no longer travel. I would gladly trade my D2P for my adult children. Let everyone make that choice for themselves- who would be best to have as a D2.

I am hoping that if we, our American family (Flight attendants, agents, ground personal, mechanics, pilots, managment), can unite and petition corporate to create a D2C status, we can make this happen! Sign with your base or station- e.g. Karen Anderson LGA

The emails I receive from you all show how much this change would mean for our families. It is exhausting to keep pushing when the walls seem so thick but I am not walking away from this fight.

I’ve given 40 years to this company. I have missed many holidays with my family, working. My parent’s are long gone. I don’t think it’s too much to ask that our children retain a D2 status!

My children are my children for all of their lives. They shouldn’t lose their D2 status just because they turn 24. Take away my parents who have D2 status or let me choose my children instead

I agree completely! My surf in 2007, my mother is 91 and on hospice, and my husband doesn't want to travel right now. I have twin sons who would LOVE to travel with me but that D3 status makes it nearly impossible. PLEASE give us D2C STATUS! Thank you! DCA #095224

D2C should go ahead of D3s and after retirees. They are our family and have flown non rev their whole lives so they are respectful and understand non rev travel unlike some D3s. Thankyou for reading this

This is exactly what we need to persuade the company to grant us. Thanks for initiating. I hope we could get it done!
