The main roads of Bedford Estates (Albany Way and Wartrace) are heavily used by various vehicles (personal and commercial). Our concern is road safety. We wish to continue to walk, jog, run, dog walk, bike ride and exercise responsibly without the worry of speeding or reckless motorists.
The purpose of this petition is to request a speed study to assess the danger and illegal vehicle speeds plaguing our neighborhood. My fellow homeowners, let’s unite and digitally sign this petition so Councilwoman Carmalitha Gumbs of the City of Fulton can present our concerns to city council and call for action. She is aware of the speeding problem, and this petition will help our voices be heard to government officials.

The momentum behind our request for a speed study in Bedford Estates has surpassed my initial expectations. Seeing this level of consensus confirms how vital safe streets are to everyone who calls this neighborhood home. We are now in a much stronger position to demonstrate the scale of our concern when we meet with Councilwoman Gumbs.

speeding is getting worse every year. we need help from the city before there is an accident.
Cars fly down Albany way all day long. Its ridiculous how fast people go in a residential area with kids playing.
PLEASE put speed bumps in. I cant even walk my dog without worrying about these reckless drivers.
Something needs to be done. Someone is going to get hurt if this isn't addressed.
People drive excessively fast in and out if the neighbor. It needs to stop before something tragic happens.
