We undersigned residents of Forest Pawtuckett request that the City of Charlotte DOT conduct a traffic study on the following streets of Forest Pawtuckett: Glenmoor, Crossridge, Pawtuckett and Sullins. These are the longest streets in our neighborhood and are unencumbered with stop signs, thereby allowing vehicles to build up speeds as high as 60 MPH or so. School buses, construction vehicles, UPS & FedEx trucks are all seen doing 45 MPH or more. Even USPS special delivery vehicles about double the 25 MPH speed limit. Traffic calming methods such as 3 and 4-Way Stop Signs and even blinking lights are needed to force traffic to slow down and prevent the speeders from passing those who adhere to the legal speed limit. These speeders are one of the reasons the intersection of Pawtuckett and Sullins is so terribly dangerous.
All residents, age 18 and older, are encouraged to sign this petition as well as forward to their neighbors to do so. Thank you.

This has been a very bad problem for a long time. We need a pedestrian marked crossing at Sullens & Pawtuckett. I've actually reported school buses speeding. There have been bad traffic accidents in the past at Sullens & Pawtuckett. I am often passed by kids exceding the speed limit & giving me the bird as they pass.
Glenmoor also, needs speed bumps. Some people (a lot) don't stop at the sign on Glenmoor and Flintrock.
More Speed Bumps As Well
Need to add Stonehurst to this list. People don't even stop at the Stop sighs.
Stop signs will help some, but I see people every day barrel through the stop signs and don't even slow down

I do not see any reason why the police cannot intervene. The racing is on almost every day, and surely every weekend. Personal admonishment have been unsuccessful. With the excessive amount of new construction and the lack of pedestrian pathways (sidewalks) our home area has become threatening, especially for children and senior citizens.Thank you
