Gibraltar Governement and/or Gibraltar Residential Properties Ltd (GRP)

After many compaints shortly after the snagging period regarding the quality of our front doors, GRP sent a letter dated 12th May 2010 to every individual resident/future resident in which they committed themselves to replacing our front doors. In the said letter they quoted: "to ensure the high standards that the government seeks...we will change your front door and install in its place a better one".

GRP clearly stated that the new doors that will be fitted would be of a higher quality than the ones originally installed.

Seven months later GRP once again issued a new letter (21st December 2010) regarding the replacement of doors and windows, but this time they said that the front doors of the flats in the two towers at the back of Cumberland Terraces would not be replaced. Their reason being that these doors are internal to the building, and concerns relating to deterioration do not apply. Therefore those of us who have flats in these two towers are stuck with cheaper, and less quality doors than the remaining of Cumberland Terraces/Nelsons View/Bayview, when we are paying exactly the same for our flats.

We, the undersigned hereby petition GRP/Gibraltar Government to reconsider replacing our front doors with the new and better quality ones as per their committment in their letter dated 12th May 2010.
