the bar located on corner of NE 60 and Sumner is bringing bad behavior to our neighborhood. When the bar initially applied for its liquor lisense, concerned neighbors petitioned but did not succeed. Now, years later, we are suffering the consequences. There has been increased crime on that block - drug deals, prostitution, robberies, even a shooting taking place due to patrons leaving the bar. Aside from the unsavory activity, the bar's parking lot also causes a traffic obstruction and is not safe. We need this bar to close its doors to keep our neighborhood safe

I started this because I was worried about my own front porch but reading your messages proves that this is a much larger problem for our community. Your stories about what is happening on our streets are heartbreaking to read and I am truly humbled by how many of you stepped forward to speak out. I am still figuring out the best way to get these concerns in front of the right people but please know that your presence here gives this effort real weight.

I'm all for fun, and I understand EVERYONE needs to unwind. BUT unfortunately this is in the close proximity of a residential neighborhood. There has been MANY acts of violence that has taken place in the area, and the only connecting dot... is sadly this bar. Families are trying to raise their families in an area that is otherwise not tainted. It comes down to an issue of safety. When you don't clean out a wound, you let it fester, and from that bacteria has the opportunity to grow in an environment that it otherwise wouldn't be able to. I.e. Prostitution brings in pimps, to which brings in drugs, in which brings in violence. It's a no brainer

Ive seen and taken notes of many deals that shamelessly happen right behind that bar and on the corner of it. It blows my mind that the owners are not doing anything about it when its so obvious and in the open. Its an unsafe environment for families and kids which there is a lot of in the surrounding area and the parking situation for the amount traffic both of those businesses create does not seem appropriate as it clogs the intersection this potentially causing a severe accident. Thanks for your time.
