We, the teachers and staff at Winpenny School, request that the CTE scheduled for the week of 2 January, 2023 be held online. There are many reasons why holding CTE online would be beneficial for the school, including but not limited to:

• Reducing potential COVID contact from people returning from travel.
• The cost of providing transportation to and from school for staff that take the van.
• The additional labor needed to provide services when staff are at school.
• The last school year proved that online CTE works and is effective.

• Giving staff who travel a long distance to get to school extra time in the day before the students return to school the following week.
• Allowing staff returning from travelling and celebrating the New Year time to recooperate and settle back in.

Because of these and many other reasons, we feel that there is no strong or compelling reason to need to be in person to benefit from the week of CTE training. Therefore, we respectfully request that we be allowed to attend CTE training online.

Nosotros, los maestros y colaboradores de Winpenny School, solicitamos de la manera más respetuosa que el CTE agendado para la semana del 2 de enero de 2023 sea realizado en línea. Hay bastantes razones por las cuales llevar a cabo el CTE en línea podría beneficiar a la escuela, incluyendo pero sin excluir las siguientes:

• Reducir el riesgo potencial de contagio de COVID por personas que lleguen de viajar
• El costo de proveer transporte desde y hasta la escuela para los colaboradores que utilizan la ruta escolar.
• La mano de obra de obra adicional necesaria para brindar servicios cuando el personal está en la escuela
• El año escolar anterior demostró que el CTE se puede hacer en línea y es efectivo.

Llevar a cabo el CTE en línea también tiene beneficios para maestros y colaboradores

• Dar al personal que viaja una larga distancia para llegar a la escuela, tiempo adicional antes de que los estudiantes regresen a la escuela la semana siguiente.
• Permitir que el personal que regresa de viajar y celebrar el Año Nuevo tenga tiempo para recuperarse y volver a instalarse.

Por esta y muchas otras razones, creemos que hay suficientes argumentos para llevar a cabo el CTE en línea sin sacrificar la efectividad de la semana de entrenamiento. Por ello, respetuosamente pedimos se nos permita asistir al CTE de manera virtual.
