I write this on behalf of the majority of students enrolled in 1876 Bachelor of Education, who are selecting their Spring 2025 units (TEAC3013, TEAC4006, TEAC4010). We are calling for the university to reconsider the current class options and open and offer the option of online classes to cater for everyone. The majority of us are working teachers, and attending units on campus (especially if it's just one unit a day) during work hours is not only unrealistic, but financially and professionally disruptive.

It is unreasonable to expect students to lose a day of work or delay graduation because of rigid scheduling. We are consistently told to change units or defer to another semester—this is not a sustainable or fair solution. With the university’s commitment to inclusive and flexible learning, we strongly urge you to reflect this in practice and make our units more accessible and online at a time that supports the realities of your working student cohort.

Please fix this! I cant afford to take days off work just to sit in a lecture for one hour. Make it online.
