On May 15th, 2019 my 8 year old grandson Christian Maxon was hit by a truck in a school zone cross walk. Christian did not survive. We strongly believe a crossing guard would have prevented this tragedy. We would like to petition Marshall county Mayor Joel Greer, Marshall county school board and city council to start a crossing guard program for all the Marshalltown schools with dangerous crossing zones.
