Petition objecting to the proposed changes of Cross Holt Woods for the use of Laser Tag Gaming
We, the undersigned, strongly object to the planning application reference number 14/0527/FUL for the change of use of land from woodland to Laser Tag gaming activities at Cross Holt woods A46 Skellingthorpe roundabout, Lincoln for the following reasons:
1) Noise pollution from multiple parties of up to 20 children/adults, 7 days a week up to 7:30PM. Noise will carry through the woods and be heard by local residents.
2) Damage caused to the environment - the woodland itself and its diverse wildlife.
3) The woods are frequently used by ramblers with unrestricted access for over 30 years.
4) The woods are regularly used by dog owners, this will cease if the application is approved.
5) Traffic access - impact of the extra traffic onto the Skellingthorpe roundabout.

This is a peaceful area rich with wildlife and the reason many of us have chosen to live here! Someone now wishes to take all that away from us, purely for their own commercial gain. This can not be right and for once the planners must consider the environment and listen to the concerns of residents. This activity is not essential, is unlikely to benefit local residents and will definitely detract from their living environment and all to line the applicants pockets. Please do not allow the planning application to proceed.
Why do we always have to put business and commercial linterests FIRST ? Let us be different and preserve what we have now to enjoy whilst we still have it. Wildlife needs somewhere to thrive and be enjoyed and one day we will realisehow precious this is. Act now before it is too late.
This kind of activity is not suitable to held near a residential area, there are lots more suitable places if you look hard enough.
this is a peacuful place rich with wildlife and children growing up it is not a suitable place for these activities. many rare orb protected wildlife roam here
Leave these beautiful old woods alone.

I have to agree with every other residents concerns. The question to be answered is, 'Is this proposal necessary' ? Why does this organisation NEED to move from it's current location? A location where no one is inconvenienced. I'm a shift worker and I know of other residents are too, so how's the development going to impact on their sleep patterns. North Kesteven NEED to open their ears to the resident or I suggest you sell your current house and move to this lovely community
