Have you ever had the thought of how wonderful the playground on crook street is? Have you also wondered why it’s not fully gated?!
I certainly have.
I’ve seen a number of kids running out to that car park or towards the water / street and I keep thinking this is an accident waiting to happen.
From talking to friends I know I’m not the only one who has thought this. So I thought what’s the best way to convince Bendigo council to fix this issue..?? Let’s sign this petition and spread the word, getting lots signatures might lead the council to take this seriously.
What this petition is seeking is Bendigo council add three gates, one by the car park and two by the bbq area to close off the playground for safety.

I am honestly a bit overwhelmed by how many people feel the same way about the park. This movement belongs to all of you because I never imagined we would get this kind of response so quickly.

My 3yo is so fast and the cars there drive way too quick. It is a total nightmare trying to keep track of him!
Outrageous that a play space has no fencing or gates when it next to a major highway. Do we have to wait for a child to die????

As a toddler twin Mum, it is literally impossible to take my twins to playgrounds that run straight into the carpark. The cost of a kids life vs the cost of a gate.
