Hi all! Hope you all are safe and healthy during these unprecedented times. I think many of us agree that online classes, although being our best resource right now, do not match the quality and our expectations from Columbia education. This affects all students of Columbia University, but in this post, I want to focus on the master’s students from SEAS.

-Several master’s degrees at the Engineering School are 30-36 credits long. That means that just this semester accounts on average for 40% of our degree.

-I believe is very unlikely that the University will reimburse tuition and fees.

-I want to propose an alternative option that is completely optional, not difficult to implement and will help us accomplish our objectives when we decided to join Columbia University.

I want to ask the SEAS to enable Master’s students to take some credits free of charge during next fall.

If you would like to have this option, please sign my petition. If you do not want to take more than the credits required from your program, that’s fine too!, but I will appreciate it if you take 30 seconds to fill the petition. Happy to hear your comments, recommendations, and opinions about this!

Be safe!
