Greetings everyone! My name is Coriann McMillen and I would be honored to represent the single JD 1L class as Treasurer. I graduated from Central Michigan University in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and a criminal justice focus. During my senior year in college, I interned at a criminal defense law firm, where I accompanied an attorney at trials, took detailed notes during trial that the attorney later used in cross examinations, and communicated with the families during trial for moral support.
Since July of 2018, I have been working as legal assistant at TMD Law Group, a general practice law firm located in Southfield, Michigan. My duties are not limited to that of an average legal assistant. I am also required to serve as an office manager. As an office manager it is my job to handle all incoming payments, handle inventory, pay office bills, and send out invoices to the clients every month. Taking into account what I already know, I will use it to serve you as your SBA 1L class treasurer. I will see to it that I lead in the most effective way possible.
It is my hope that you all will allow me to serve our class. Thank you in advance for your consideration.
