Hello everyone! My name is Brianna Hines and I would love the opportunity to represent the singe JD 1L class as a class representative. I graduated from Western Michigan University in 2019 with a degree in Political Science and a minor in Spanish. During my time at Western Michigan I was on the mock trial team from 2017-2018. I also had an executive board position, serving as the secretary of the Delta Chi chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. My time as secretary has given me the great experience of being the liaison in communicating between the executive board and the general body of the chapter.
In my years before coming to law school I have also had the privilege of working with Judge Bell at Kalamazoo county probate court, being the liaison between him and his clerk when it came to research projects that I worked on for him. During my time at 19th District Court working as a clerk, I had extensive communication with Judges and other colleagues all striving to work towards a common goal. As your SBA 1L class representative I intend to work hard to make sure that our needs and concerns are heard and met by administration. My main goal is to make sure there is an advocate for us.
I look forward to talking with you all and working with you; hopefully in person soon. In closing, if selected I plan on working hard to make sure that our 1L year is great!

I have been hearing from many of you about concerns regarding our current class schedule and workload. Send a message to your classmates today asking them to review my plan for better administrative communication. We need to stay organized if we want to see real changes this semester.
