To Concerned Neighbors and Friends of Bison Ridge, Fairway Park and Torreon.

In recent months the target shooting that is occurring near Forest Road 136 (Joe Tank Road) and 135/135T has become louder, closer, more frequent and dangerous to hikers, bikers and anyone frequenting the trails adjacent to Bison Ridge, Fairway Park and Torreon. We have approached the Forest Service with our concerns documenting the shot up trail signs showing the lack of concern for shooting direction and safe backstop for target shooting.

These target shooters are within a 1/4 mile of the Bison Ridge development and show no concern for possible hikers coming down the trail. We are asking the Forest Service to monitor and post signage stating Congested Area No Target Shooting within 1 Mile of the intersection of 136/135/135T Bagnal Wash area.

I am truly overwhelmed by the momentum we have built together because I honestly never thought this issue would reach so many households. This is entirely due to your willingness to speak up for our trails and I am just humbled to be a small part of it.

I'm an avid shooter myself, but do get concerned about what sounds like close proximity to homes in Bison Ridge

Our home borders the forest and we are concerned that shooters are being unsafe. We have heard shots fired at 11 pm. A careless shooter could cost a hiker or homeowner their life. Please consider this petition. Thank you.

I have been very worried about hiking because of the indiscriminate shooting. Additionally, these shooters leave their shooting litter all over the forest, and, they are destroying public property by shooting USFS signage.

I hope someone has to get shot before something is done.

I have children that go riding out there with my husband. Please don't let someone have to die before you make it a no shooting area.

Because of apparent sportsman blatant disregard of basic principles of target shooting, changes must be made. The vandalism and abuse to our community require immediate changes. I agree with this petition.

Too much shooting too close to our homes!
