It is true that this has been around for a long time, but it is a different world now. It is surrounded by residences and poses many hazards.
1. There have been multiple reports of bullets whizzing over the heads of people walking nearby. This poses a major safety issue.
2. Even though illegal, explosive targets can be heard daily. This poses a definite fire hazard.
3. Rapid fire and high caliber rounds are heard daily. The high noise level in itself is obnoxious and disturbing to the residents surrounding it.
4. Another concern is that it is affecting property values and has caused several homeowners to sell their homes. It is a deterrent to would-be buyers.
The existence of this gunfire compound is an anomaly and should be relocated to a site more harmonious with that which is around it. What was once acceptable is no longer acceptable.
The Whitefish Rifle and Pistol Club continues to ignore the danger they pose to our homes while bullets keep whistling over our heads. I have spent the week documenting these reckless violations to present to the local zoning board because these people clearly have no intention of policing themselves.

The momentum behind this push is undeniable and it proves the Whitefish Rifle and Pistol Club can no longer ignore the terror they inflict on our neighborhood. We have hit a critical point where they can no longer pretend this is just a minor complaint. It is time for them to pack up and move their operation far away from our homes.

Are we acting like the people that bought property by the airport and then complain about airplane noise? Did the gun club diminish values before you bought or just after ? BUYER BEWARE Right ?

The noise pollution from those automatic rifles is awful! And it goes on and on.

Good luck! Relocation of the gun range would greatly improve the peaceful enjoyment of adjacent private neighborhoods.

Get rid of this club! Guns are just a danger to the community they are in. Whitefish doesn't need this group

They are obviously not following the established rules. Time to shut it down!
