Final supporters
Student accommodation living at the Mezzino Westwood is currently a construction site beginning daily at 7:30am. Residents are living in an unsafe environment surrounded by heavy machinery, construction equipment and supplies throughout the entire complex.
Residents have routinely expressed their concerns to the Mezzino Corporation, yet we are still being ignored. There has been virtually no communication of when construction is due to be completed other than a reply to an email dated 21/09/2020 by the resident managers prior to arrivals. "We have four out of our five blocks opening this weekend. The full complex will be complete by the end of the month."
As of October 1st the site is not completed. Due to current Covid restrictions, universities have moved to online teaching. We are currently studying full time in addition to living in these extreme conditions. Still no update from Mezzino.
Residents currently have an incomplete site with lack of laundry facilities and amenities. The Mezzino Westwood residents are asking for a monetary compensation of October's rent.

The noise starts again at 7:30 every morning and my desk shakes while I try to attend my lectures. I am currently gathering photos of the unfinished laundry facilities to include in a formal demand letter to the management team. This is not how any of us expected to live our first term.

Waking up to this level of support makes me realize that we are not just struggling alone in these halls anymore. Seeing so many people acknowledge that these living conditions are unacceptable gives me the strength to keep fighting for our rent back.

Although conditions may be A Pauling I am glad that I have a free alarm from the construction at 7 in the morning. Haven’t missed a lecture yet!!
I am a resident here and it is unfair that we should paying for facilities we don’t have access too.
I was going to go there this year but so happy I didn’t...Jesus won’t be going there next year either.
Building still under construction, facilities that were promised are not ready ie laundry , gym, cinema room. I have been informed of lights flickering on and of in some of the rooms which is extremely dangerous and a fire hazard. You advertised the top end apartments on your web page which I find misleading because the rooms on the lower floors are quite small, actually they are a better / newer version of Corrib but extremely more expensive. I think it only fair that the students are reimbursed or a discount on their monthly rent until this construction work is complete and the facilities are usable.
Company should be ashamed of ripping off students,no facilties whatsoever..when everything was advertised to be provided
just seeing this now, absolute disgrace of their behalf
