They actually listened and kept the funding in place which feels honestly surreal after all those late nights staring at the screen. I am just so relieved that these organizations can keep doing their vital work because it really is so much bigger than just a budget line item. We …
We the undersigned applaud the excellent and vital work carried out by the local Community Sector organisations and reject any move towards cutting the funding available to the Community Sector as a false economy which makes neither social nor economic sense. We call upon all Community Sector workers to consider joining a trade union who are organising a campaign to protect our local services.
Two hundred and fifty people have put their names on the line and honestly I am just typing this while staring at the screen because I never actually expected this to move so fast. It is wild to see how many people realize these cuts are just a total disaster waiting to happen and honestly it makes me feel a bit better about everything.

Keep the funding where it belongs. Local workers do way more for us than the big guys ever will.

These services are the only thing keeping our neighborhood going. Cutting the budget now is just plain stupid.
