Suffolk Community Healthcare is one of the best providers of community health services in England. On 1st October, SERCO were given responsibility for managing it. SERCO have no experience in running community health services and they won the contract by underbidding their predecessor by £10million. SERCO now want to save this money and make a profit for their shareholders by slashing 1 in 6 jobs - clinical and support staff.
UNISON, other trade unions and a range of community groups are opposed to these job cuts. They will result in sick, vulnerable and older people receiving worse health services. We are calling on SERCO to stop cutting key health worker jobs.

My mum already struggles to get an appointment and now they want to slash staff? Absolutely disgusting.
Total joke. Keep them in the community where they belong.
My grandmother relies on these nurses. It is disgraceful to put profits before patient care. Leave these jobs alone.
What a shame. Privatisation is ruining everything good about our healthcare.
SERCO have no business running healthcare. They just want the money. Stop the cuts now.

Ridiculous! We need more nurses not less. This is going to put so much pressure on our local hospitals.
