As part of our citizenship coursework, Ben and I (Bethany Adcock) are trying to keep the youth centre open, or at least change the opinion and negativity of the Council about the closure.

A few months ago Colin Stewart (aka 'scottish trump') came to the youth group and *tried* to explain hiw reasons for closing the youth centres and why he thought they weren't necessary. Many if not all people were left still with questions about the situation and felt that the Council had completely disregarded the opinions and needs of youths.

We are currently composing an email to Colin Stewart (and Paul Scully) to make the Council aware that we are unsatisfied with the way the situation has been dealt with and want something to change. We need as much evidence as we can get to back up our points.

So please sign this petition if you believe that Colin Stewart's talk was inadequate in the way that he was disregarding our views and spoke as if youths don't really matter.

Many thanks :)

He had no real answers to any questions and didn't even live in the borough but agreed that youth services are helpful as his own daughter uses one. But because we are only 1% we don't matter
