Clipsham Views residents are submitting this petition to disagree with some street names which were published and got to their attention. All the Shona names and some people's names should not be forced on the residents, as we feel ownership of the place from titles obtained through the purchase of those stands. We are here by recommending that the residents association committee of Clipsham Views be included in meetings which shall be convened to name the suburb's street. By signing/endorsing names on this petition, residents are collectively in agreement to nullify the already initiated process and subsequent suggested names

I believe people who sacrificed to buy these stands should be given a leeway to suggest the names they would prefer for the streets. And in as much as we value our culture and language and political history, we should not just impose a name for the sake of it being indigenous, cultural or its suggested political significance. The names should aim at adding value to the residential area
No to Shona names or people's names
We reject those names proposed we need to have a voice in the naming of our Streets
No to imposed names
we should be allowed to contribute to the naming of the streets. l suggest use of 1st, 2nd or 3rd street.
I own a stand in Clipsham Views. I do object to the names proposed for our street names. Please residents must be given an opportunity to name their streets

Names suggested are not a reflection of the surburb..... honestly the suggested names do not add value to think of the name mahewu or mbambaira as street name
