The city council voted to approve live music for our beer garden at last night's session. We are now finalizing the permit paperwork to begin scheduling local performers immediately. This outcome confirms the feasibility of our plan and our role within the community.

Clemson Bros. Brewery is asking Middletown residents and craft beer fans to sign this petition so that we can show the city officials how much we need this to be approved. Besides us providing weekly entertainment for the city we will be booking acts from the local area which will in turn stimulate our economy. Live music is important to the craft beverage business model because it keeps people occupied for an entire day. When music is involved it is more than just dinner and a beer. It becomes a social space which creates relationships similar to a community center. Right now 99% of breweries, cideries, and distilleries in a 45 mile radius have live music available for their patrons. In 2016 we experienced what it was like not to have live music and in 2017 an influx of tourism to the area is everyone's goal. Please Join us at City Hall, February 21st at 6pm, where we will be presenting city officials with our petition, in hopes to have this law changed. Thank You.

My husband is a local musician and it is a great social event when live music is provided. He plays at wineries, breweries, distilleries, coffee/yogurt shops etc. Live music does draw the community together.

Music in the beer garden would be GREAT! Much better than the racetrack noise that carries over 5 miles to my house. Bringing people into Middletown for music will only be a good thing.

This is ridiculous! The city should be supporting venues like this. Obviously live music is an important part of the business model to continue growth and stay competitive with similar businesses in Orange County and beyond. Sometimes I wonder if the city has its head under the sand or truly wants growth.

This is a no-brainer! Live music brings alot of people and helps businesses and communities thrive. Clemson is located in an area where there is not alot of homes where it will interfere with people's livelihood and peace. A noise ordinance for outdoor music could be put in place.

Long overdue and this type of attraction will help change the face of business for both residents and visitors. The creation of "social space" is sorely needed. What a fun way to enjoy music, social engagement, good food and refreshments. Middletown needs more of this, and Clemson is getting the ball rolling.

I'm a local resident and with growing concern for my community. I'm a repeat patron to Clemson bros Brewery. Not only have they restored a historical building, they also offer a positive, wholesome business. Our city needs establishments like these to get back on its feet (economically).
