Use the link below to email your local representatives and demand they stick to their promise on public access. We need to keep the pressure on until the site is clear for everyone.

Public access to the water in Wivenhoe is important to ensure the community take part in water activities and enjoy all that the river had to offer. Access should not be limited for those that can afford or wish to join clubs.
In the two other places with rivers where I have lived there has been public river access. I was amazed that there was none in Wivenhoe.have lived
This would be amazing for those of us in the village who own kayaks and canoes, and who are not members of the sailing club.
I live by the Sailing Club upriver hard and see the problems created by its loked gate. I fully support this proposal.
This is a very worthy project. This will costa fraction of developing cooks shipyard site. All other avenue have been exhausted I.e the sailing club will not permit access to other clubs and individuals.
Wivenhoe Sailing Club has a monopoly on access to the river in Wivenhoe.
As a public slipway it should have always been usable otherwise it is only those that can afford to belong to the sailing club that have access.

Can't wait for this to happen. A great asset for the town which could very easily be reinstated. I am happy to get my waders and broom out to help keep it clear.
