Public access to the water in Wivenhoe is important to ensure the community take part in water activities and enjoy all that the river had to offer. Access should not be limited for those that can afford or wish to join clubs.

In the two other places with rivers where I have lived there has been public river access. I was amazed that there was none in Wivenhoe.have lived

I know that a small minority of WC members dont want to support local business by attracting tourists but this would, but we need parking, Wivenhoe is changing and there's noting that you can do other than embrace it.

Public, free access matters. We shouldn't have to join the sailing club in order to acess the water safely and encourage safe enjoyment of our local water ways.

Wivenhoe Sailing Club has a monopoly on access to the river in Wivenhoe.
As a public slipway it should have always been usable otherwise it is only those that can afford to belong to the sailing club that have access.
