The city has officially agreed to fund the full repair of the storm drain. I am grateful for the sustained pressure that led to this resolution. We will monitor the site to ensure the construction proceeds as promised.

Local business owner, Dondal Denning, finds a shocking sight, the flood of his business strip after a recent storm. After Mr. Denning notifies @CityofHazlehurst about a defected storm drain, nothing was ever done to remedy the problem. We demand City of Hazlehurst to cover 100% of the cost to fix it. Shame!

Functioning drainage systems are imperative to the economy and environment of hazlehurst. The neglect of maintenance on these systems are putting many of these businesses at risk and directly shows that the town officials are ignoring these issues and change must be made.

I pray that this doesn't happen again and the City will finally realize that things like this drain only take a few minutes to fix but as for Royal Ink and the other 3 Businesses that could take months to be fixed and a lot of money.

Thus is ridiculous! How about fixing this instead of the round abouts! Or a little less on High School sports! Where's the tax money going? Don't chase away the local businesses!

I think the owner Donald Denning has just as much right as any other businesses here in Jeff Davis County to have help from the City Of Hazlehurst as they would do for other tax payers that has had problems such as this. Donald is like every other Citizen here he pays taxes and has a family to provide for.

Flooding has been a problem ever since I lived in Hazlehurst. I lived there since 79 moved 2006. They need to find someone who will fix and stop all the flooding. If not then everyone residents or business should them for all damages

It hasn't only affected his businesses but many of us families that are customers that use these businesses for our children's haircuts, decals for our businesses or need ATV work. This is ridiculous and embarrassing that the city isn't wanting to protect a business that represents our city!!?

This is ridiculous. The City of Hazlehurst needs to do something and make sure this is resolved 100% and at zero costs to the owner.
