Rockwall is a great city with massive growth. The facility will only put Rockwall on the map, be a positive influence to the youth of Rockwall and will only keep their facilities up to par with other local schools like Allen, McKinney and Prosper. If your bored and think it’s excessive - go drive around Prosper High School- Mind Blowing.

Rockwall has needed this for 10 years maybe more. Way to many parents having to drive to other cities to compete.

I was the team leader for the construction company that built the Benton Event center in Benton, Arkansas in 2015-2016. It included a new Boys & Girls club, a Community/ senior center with a junior Olympic pool, aquatic center, new softball fields and soccer fields. The impact of a facility like this is priceless for a community. The lives that are reached through community involvement at a facility like this is amazing. This is absolutely something that should be supported by all in the community.

I hope an ice rink is included with this! Would love to grow hockey in Rockwall too!

This is long over due. About 6-8 months ago I attend a parks board meeting and The City is considering a new facility but they need to hear from it’s citizens that it is important to Rockwall Folks. The last time this came up to vote it failed miserably. Realistically if we can get a bond passed to fund and build it we are looking at 2-3 years for a build out.

Baseball fields lack parking, flood, not enough practice sites during bad weather. Need more for Rockwall as the population now reflects families with young children. Look at the school needs and see the demographics. We shouldn’t have to drive to Plano-Allen for these amenities.
