The city officials remain quiet on this proposal even after we reached out again. Progress is slow and honestly exhausting but I continue to push because our community deserves a place to skate.

Please open an ice rink. I understand that it’s a huge endeavor, but the long term benefit of enabling kids to participate in both hockey and skating would be very worth it. As it stands, the only decent ice with good instructional support around is in Plano.
This city deserves an ice rink! Both of our high schools bus their boys to Allen for rink time. Free skate, ice skating and hockey lessons, and small leagues will be great revenue for the city as well!
I grew up in a hockey town, and took for granted that my high school and school district had a championship hockey team. As a resident of a Rocwkall ISD teenager who has spent her entire school age at Rockwall, I would love to see this come to fruition. Dallas is a hockey town now. Let's groom our kids to shoot for the Stars!
My daughter has been taking skating lessons for 10 years and I would love NOT to drive to Frisco ever again !!!!
I live nearby in Lavon and travel to McKinney, Allen, Frisco, and Plano several time a week for hockey. Having a rink in Rockwall would be a great alternative for those of us in the eastern part of the metroplex and could bring a large amount of money into the city.
Both myself and my child play hockey. Ice rinks are great for revenue and will grow the sport of hockey that kids all over rockwall have to drive to richarson, allen, plano, and further to play.

They is a chance that you could foster some amazing talent out of this facility. A great example is a Rockwall Resident named Colton Hargrove who just signed with the Boston Bruins a few weeks ago. Just imgiane how many more hockey players, figure skaters, speed skaters, etc. could come from a facility like this.
