Final supporters
There are major safety issues on Oak Street (formerly SR 334), with frequent, and sometimes fatal, accidents. Residents are concerned for their safety, and want Oak Street improved immediately. However, we feel elected officials are instead focusing on preparing to build a new $10.2 million, 44,000 square foot Town Hall.
We, the undersigned, ask Zionsville's Mayor Tim Haak, and the Town Council to please hold off on approving anything on a new Town Hall until:
1. Safety concerns are addressed on Oak Street with a round about per the 2013-14 Traffic Study, or what is recommended by an independent engineering firm.
2. Public hearings are conducted for the proposed Town Hall.
3. Viewings for the town hall are made available publicly accompanied by line item costs.

I am signing this not necessarily because I am opposed (or in favor of) the new Town Hall, but because I am in favor of more information being shared about the justification for it. We need more data to explain this significant expense.
I disagree with the funding of a town hall for 10.2 million plus 44,000 square feet? There r existing buildings in Zionsville that are much less and could be renovated. There r two empty in the Villiage and what a better space then in the heart of Zionsville?
I use the center section every day and is a very dangerous intersection especially for anyone turning left out of Kissel road from either direction. This intersection is a priority over spending money on a new Townhall.
The people of Zionsville have spoken, and to move ahead with plans for a new and unnecessarily huge town hall would be a slap in the face to the community you claim to love. Address life or death matters (Oak St) then involve the community in the planning of a new town hall.
Spending millions to build an unnecessary town hall while neglecting to correct a known safety concern in town (for considerably less) would be a very poor choice and not reflective of leadership that is truly interested in serving its constituents. Please reconsider.
no more Taj Mahals for Zionsville tax payers to payoff.
I'm not convinced a new town hall of this magnitude is the best way to use the town's limited resources.

We have lived with in a quarter-mile of this intersection for almost 30 years and it is a travesty that safety concerns have not been met. Accidents are all too frequent and we should not allow another death to happen before this is fixed.
