On February 24th, several HOA of Cimarron members held a virtual meeting. The topic was regarding preliminary plans on possible rezoning to Cimarron Golf Course. The potential golf course rezoning could change from the current agricultural zoning to commercial and some residential. The consensus of the meeting was to create this petition that illustrates the members of the association are in total opposition to any and all rezoning.
Both the HOA of Cimarron Board and Rezoning Watch Committee oppose the plans due to the following:
1. Drainage issues that could affect water flow during rains and storms.
2. Commercial development & high-density housing that would change the current landscape of neighborhood.
3. Elimination of golf course views & potential negative effect on property values.
4. Environmental protection of wildlife and green space.

Terrible idea to rezone the only Country Club and championship golf course in Mission. Vic Akin 2002 Brazos Ct Mission Tx 78572
I’m against rezoning the golf course as this will affect my property value, my backyard view and the risk of flooding in my area.
Oppose. They should focus energy on fixing they’re failed Europa project before making the same mistakes and depriving the community of the golf course.
I built and have lived in my home for 21 years this August. As a real estate broker for over 20+ years, I have sold many properties. The southern part of Cimarron is in a low lying area and prone to flooding should the drainage be overwhelmed with new development. I STRONGLY OPPOSE ANY NEW DEVELOPMENT.
I live on 2108 Colorado and it's not fair to damage 600 families just because one investor did not do his due diligence before purchasing. I'm sure the manager of Palm View would make this golf course profitable. We all built here because of the tranquility of traffic and the view to golf courses. Please don't mess it up (for one person) is not worth it.

210 Rio Grande. I vote against rezoning golf course and building any structures along golf course. The reason I bought in the Cimmaron was for the golf course and the great views. Not to mention the increase in traffic the rezoning will create.
