On February 24th, several HOA of Cimarron members held a virtual meeting. The topic was regarding preliminary plans on possible rezoning to Cimarron Golf Course. The potential golf course rezoning could change from the current agricultural zoning to commercial and some residential. The consensus of the meeting was to create this petition that illustrates the members of the association are in total opposition to any and all rezoning.

Both the HOA of Cimarron Board and Rezoning Watch Committee oppose the plans due to the following:

1. Drainage issues that could affect water flow during rains and storms.

2. Commercial development & high-density housing that would change the current landscape of neighborhood.

3. Elimination of golf course views & potential negative effect on property values.

4. Environmental protection of wildlife and green space.

If you are in agreement with the above and wish to oppose the rezoning of golf course, please sign this petition. While signing, please enclose your property address in the comment box, which City of Mission will need to count your vote.
