on the lower Ravenhill Road than the lives of local children, we have been campaigning for several years to change this crossing. This crossing is used by children and parents for a local school, Adults with learning difficulties centre meeting point is also situated directly beside the current Zebra crossing, the volume of people that cross at this junction is extremely high due to it being a main route into Belfast city centre. We have been told that there is no ' money ' in the budget so is this putting a price on a life? Its also a life line to local access to shops chemists and much needed amenities. The support of local people need to insure the health and well being of our community is paramount and not the needs of faster traffgic on the roads.

we are almost at 100 signatures and i really need everyone to help push us over that line today. keep the momentum going so we can show them how many of us are tired of waiting for safer roads.

Spending plenty of money on footpaths and kerbstones in the area... I'm sure they could some money to change to lights
As a driver I hate this part of the road, and growing up in the area it has always been a nightmare. So many people have been knocked down. Kids, adults, and drivers need more done for safety
Should have been sorted decades ago. To make things worse they removed all safety barriers from both sides of the road and never replaced them.
I travel on the Ravenhill road most days and often see other motorists and cyclists ignoring the pedestrians (including the elderly and children) at the zebra crossing. This junction needs a traffic light system for everyone's safety.
My granddaughter and daughter near got knocked down on this last week they were crossing with the patrol man when a silver golf flew past I'm so angry to hear that it takes 2 people to be killed before they will do anything it's a disgrace and needs sorted
My Granddaughter crosses this every day to and from school
This zebra crossing needs changes, whose life has to be lost before they listen!

I was also close to being knocked down on that infamous crossing a few years ago and I'm an adult who was able to literally escape being hit just in time. What chance does a child, or a parent with children in tow have?
