The MCS Leaver’s ceremony clashes with a lot of people’s appointments, plans and exams for prom as it is on the same date. This is very stressful and it far too tight for people as a lot of people have physics resits that morning, then they have to attend the ceremony, get ready for prom and go to prom. Transport for people who have parents who cannot take them that day/live out of area have a massive inconvenience with how to attend. Teachers are showing no sympathy so we need to make this change.

I have been hearing from so many of you about the physics resits and the sheer panic of trying to get to prom afterward. It is clear that the current schedule is causing unnecessary strain on students who just want to celebrate their hard work without sacrificing their grades or their sanity.

Even though I’m not going, to end everyone’s time at the comp like this isn’t fair on any of the year 11’s... no thought was put into the date and times and should be changed
This has caused a huge amount of stress altering the date at this late stage. As a parent, I want prom to be an enjoyable end to year 11 and not a rushed experience for the students. My daughter has spent a considerable amount of time worrying about this date change which appears to be a source of upset to many people.
We all already have prom plans, appointments booked and things to do! I don't understand why the leaver's ceremony needs to be so far into our study leave when we need to get ready. I know for a fact that the vast majority of teenage girls will not feel as good as they can about themselves with this little time to prepare, and it creates so much more stress for our parents!
prom is seriously stressful, trying to get hair and makeup done in less than 2 hours is practically impossible, and we already have appointments booked. if you don’t live near the chase either it’s like a 40 min drive from us which leaves minimal time. change the date, save us and our mums some stress!
Remember the struggles last year for me with dates clashing, don’t want the same for my brother.

it doesn't give any of us enough time to get ready and we would have to reschedule appointments. the day should be dedicated to prom instead of worrying about time issues.
