I ask that you sign this petition to voice your feelings to Missouri Department of Transportation to return the intersection back to its prior configuration.
MO DOT didn't have a public hearing.
This new intersection put the motorist at a greater risk, by putting you closer to the 55 MPH zone on Hwy 8.
This new intersection can't be properly cleaned from snow and will be harder to navigate.
This is clear Government Overreach, it should be the motorist choice which way to go, we shouldn't be mandated or governed, we should be free to choose.
This new intersection congest traffic as motorist now only have one way to travel where before they had two routes.
By signing this you are simply asking MO DOT to allow you to choose which way you want to go.

I think the intersection is more dangerous now. Think of all the busses and big trucks that have to make that sharp turn now. What about when we have snow or ice? I don't want to try to make that sharp turn. I feel that it's needs to be put back the way it was.
For those who have left the area and not familiar with the new signs or the new route this could cause confusion and or a wreck itself. I understand they were trying to cut down on the number of wrecks but I would like to see the statistics on how many wrecks actually happened in that location verses the other.
My family has lived on this highway and traveled it daily since the 1940s and has never had a wreck at this intersection. The change has made this highway more dangerous. Traffic backs up now because of the change. It's ridiculous......it needs to be changed back.
Moterist were not made aware of this change and people who don't use this route on a daily basis is getting ticketed for not knowing or seeing the small do not enter sign that just appeard
If it ain't broke don't fix it...this intersection has been like this for years now it is a pain. You cannot see 8 West very well when you pull out. Put it back like it was.
Return to the original way
I would also like to see this intersection returned to its origonal state.

It isore difficult to see oncoming traffic with the fence and poles in the way. Also the 11 signs that are now up before the change make it difficult to understand. It was also very confusing when no one that lives on the hwy was notified of the change.
