The ICAI, for all the right reasons changed the syllabus and examination criteria for the CA exams. Agreed, it will be helpful in increasing the quality of Chartered Accountants produced by the system but the change has a host of rippling side effects that may have been neglected or ignored. The main one being the lack of clarity regarding eligibility for the examinations. The Foundation course asks for a unilateral delay of six months as compared to CPT exams. The registration for CPT used to be open till December for exams in June but were closed on 30th June,2017 for the same. Many of the students were unaware of these changes. This issue is prevalent even in metropolitan cities, to say the least about small towns and cities. There was lack of clarity amongst the students after the press release and they were not given enough time to make their decision, being stuck between rocks and hard place. It is a potential national issue regarding education. A person with lack of clarity would rather opt for other prospective professions. This would result in a loss of Chartered Accounts all across the country and also major criticism from the general public.

If you support the cause of thousands of students fill the given form and spread the link on social media to make it a viral sensation. The time you spare is minimal but the results are sure to be astronomical.
