THEY WITHDREW THE APPLICATION!! THIS IS A MASSIVE VICTORY FOR OUR NEIGHBORHOOD AND I AM BEYOND THRILLED THAT WE STOPPED THIS DEVELOPMENT!! STAY VIGILANT JUST IN CASE THEY TRY SOMETHING ELSE BUT FOR NOW WE CELEBRATE BECAUSE WE TOTALLY WON!!
Rezoning to R-7 to allow 296 apartments at 4101 Westport Road, Louisville, KY 40207, named Gilman's Point.
The undersigned oppose the proposed application for rezoning and hereby petition the Planning Commission
to hold a public hearing at 6:00 PM or later at a convenient location near the proposed site.
Extremely large development for the quaint neighborhood……. Smaller, less obtrusive complex would fit in the area. Zoning should never approve a 5 story building in an older established neighborhood.

Stop the over development of the property at Westport Road and Ridgeway Road. The development is not in keeping with the surrounding area. That land has been considered ‘swamp’ land for the retention of rainwater. The purposed development will cause major traffic congestion in that area.

This project would adversely affect traffic in this entire area, especially when a train goes through and backs up traffic in all directions. The many businesses in this area would also be affected. This project is a bad idea for this site.

We are already at maximum density with traffic and have yet to see the impact of the new hospital being built that is going to definitely cause others to take an alternate route. Not to mention drainage issues with the lack of green space to absorb water.

This development is too intrusive and not to scale for our neighborhood. The increased traffic created by this development will change our street from a neighborhood street to a main thoroughfare unsafe for kids and pedestrians.

Wrong development for this lot. Too large and busy. Maybe patio homes or senior living would suit this site better Also they want to tear down affordable apartment buildings and displace those residents.

Very opposed to this project...this area desperately needs a dedicated park!

This parcel should be a park! What is NOT needed is an ugly generic cheaply built apt complex adding to traffic along an already tight corridor. What..so the city narrows otjer major roads yet now is ok w widening Westport to allow for extra congestion...at a RR crossing??
