The undersigned OPPOSE the proposed application for rezoning and hereby petition the Planning Commission to hold a public hearing at 6:00pm or later at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church at 13800 Aiken Rd or other convenient location (in the 40245 area).

We are approaching 250 signatures and need to maintain this momentum to ensure the Planning Commission listens to our request. With Chenoweth Run running right through this property, I have major concerns about the impact on water quality. With Chenoweth Run emptying into Floyds Fork a short distance down stream, I have real concerns on the impact at the Parklands too. Having owned a trucking company for 27 years, I know the contaminates that can come off a truck. Then you have the noise concerns of potentially 254 trucks idling all night. There is nothing about this proposal that makes sense this closely to a major residential development.
Thank you Mark for your comments. Owning a trucking company you know how this will affect our air quality. We could have up to 400-500 semi-trucks running idle? But even if it is 100 semi-trucks that is a lot of pollution for us to breathe. We have so many small children, and older adults that live in this area. What are we doing to them? Kathy Mattingly
If trucks are allowed to idle, there is air pollution (exhaust). If not allowed to idle, the engine gets cold. When a cold diesel engine is fired up, there is heavy exhaust and a foul smell. I would be happy to let you come to my truck terminal to experience this in person.
MY KIDS PLAY OUTSIDE RIGHT NEAR THERE. DIESEL FUMES AND TRUCK NOISE ALL NIGHT LONG? NO THANKS. CHANGE THE TIME.
The traffic on Aiken Rd is already a nightmare. Adding hundreds of trucks will make it impossible for us to turn out of our own driveways. We need a meeting time that actually lets working people show up.

Why are they hiding this? A daytime meeting is clearly meant to keep the actual neighbors from coming. Move it to the evening so we can get answers.
