We, the undersign, urge the Carpinteria School Board to close Main School (as was previously approved by this Board of Trustees), and to move sixth grade students back to the middle school because: (1) Closing Main School is the only fiscally responsible solution; (2) Moving 6th grade back to the middle school is in the best interest of all K-8 students within the district; (3) The middle school can provide the best resources for sixth grade students.

The budget is a mess and this is the only way to fix it. Kids belong in middle school for 6th grade anyway.
