Some of you may have seen the tweet regarding the Christmas fayre, someof you may not! There has been a post put up earlier today stating that the Christmas fayre will be from 3-6 instead if the usual time of 6-9 which it has been for the last 25 years when I attended carmunnock primary! I have had a chat with parents today and everyone is upset with this new time, due to parents who work till 6 it is a shame as they will be unable to attend this year due to work commitments and the children who also are in after school will unfortunately be missing their christmas fayre aswell this year!! I have a daughter who is in p7 who is organising the fair and she is expected to stay on at school until 6.30-7 without having dinner (I have to provide her a packet lunch to take with her) after her having that at lunch time. I don’t think the time change is fair for the children running the fates, the parents who won’t be able to attend and the children and grandparents that usually go that won’t be able to this year for the first time in what is for some - 25 years! If you could sign this petition it will be given to Miss Graham, the head teacher of carmunnock primary to try and get her to see how many people this negatively affects. Thanks!
Why change something that works? It’s been from 6-9 for as long as I can remember. I appreciate teacher have to give up their time but surely the proof is in the money raised. Quite a lot of adults won’t be home from work thereounable to go. Such a shame please please revert back to original time.

I feel the change of time may exclude many who would like to come and support the school, children and the event.
It would be a real shame not to give the P7 children the same opportunity to shine as they have done in previous years.

Not a practical time at all. To many people, parents and kids going to miss out.

I agree with this petition, a community school should work with the community, pupils and parents not the individual need of the head teacher.

I have many friends who live in carmunock and therefore I always attend the community events. I am one of thre unfortunate who work until 5 and wouldn’t make it to carmunock until after 6pm. Our children would miss out on an event we have attended for years. Such a shame- please push forward and get it reverted back to the usual time of 6-9!!!

It is a shame to change it after it has worked so well for all these years.
