After doing everything they were advised by the council to do, to get planning permission, they were still denied it. This is totally unfair on the business and local community who like to meet there and have fun. It's Christmas soon for goodness sakes. Let's show our support and hopefully they'll change their minds!!
Dear Edinburgh Council. Please rethink your decision and allow this to go ahead. Sincerely Edinburgh and the surrounding community who spend money in the city!!

The best drinks venue in Edinburgh by a distance putting good use to otherwise unused land. Attracting visitors just out of Waverley station and shows princes street to be more vibrant than bloody "Scotland" shops and Primark!
I have stayed in Edin Centre during 17 festival and really enjoyed visits to Malones - lovely and lively even for my age group 50 +. Hope it will be there next year for my hockey team's visit with me to festival.pmc
Being part of a band that regularly plays at Malones it is a great space for some good local music and much better to look at and listen to some fairground or a statue of a polar bear. A German market isnt exactly in keeping with the area either is it...
A fantastic pop up venue with great staff and outstanding live music. It added so much to the incredible atmosphere that comes with the Edinburgh fringe festival, it should have the opportunity to do the same for the city centre over Christmas.
I think Malones on the Mall/festival village is the best thing to happen to Edinburgh in a very long time, a lot of jobs are at stake and to pull the plug so close to opening when so many people were relying on it is a complete farce
A clearly prejudiced decision which should be reversed immediately
Malones was a great wee pop up bar, good atmosphere and a great location. Such a shame that it's not up this year, will be missed. Bring it back asap!

I for one would like to see this back as my Dad takes my wee boy (who's 4) for a boys night.. Juice and crisps all round and he loves it, the staff are amazing and it certainly brightens up the mall which is otherwise drab and dull... Bring back Malones....
