We believe that the May 2021 IB exams should be cancelled. As last year (2020) educational process was interrupted by the lockdowns all around the world, causing damage to students gained knowledge and lack of exam/test writing skills. The COVID-19 currently has been worsening. Government's all around the world are taking measures by implying new lockdowns and closing down the schools, meaning that once again educational process is being interrupted. Exams are being cancelled in different countries already, as an example UK's government has announced that GCSE and A-level exams are cancelled. Therefore, it would be unfair to ask IB students to take May 2021 exams.

The pandemic has not only put a toll on the quality of our learning, but also our mental state. I believe it is fair to say that IB must take into consideration the immense stress and anxiety we are undertaking, and exams will only put greater pressure on students worldwide. Despite the IB omitting certain components in our exams, learning online has greatly hindered our academic progress which may result in a generally low performance overall. I sincerely hope that IB will consider the wellbeing of their 169,000 students around the world.
