The district finally agreed to close the schools due to the flooding. It was a long road to get them to listen but I am relieved that the students will stay safe at home today.

The response to this has been overwhelming and honestly a bit exhausting to keep up with. It feels like people are finally seeing how dangerous these conditions actually are for us.

The feedback from people dealing with these flooded streets has been overwhelming and honestly heartbreaking. I am still trying to get someone in the administration to acknowledge these conditions despite the silence we keep hitting.

This weather prevents us from doing basic things like moving from class to class during passing period. For example, the hail today made many people slip because of the slippery floor. Must we go to school if weather is this severe?

I think that this is a good idea because the parents are going to have trouble driving through the flood and if there leaks and holes in the school buildings , it will not be safe for students to be in the classrooms.

I agree with this petetion. Students who have to walk will be soaked . They may becomce sick. Also there laptops, notebooks, PE clothes, etc can get ruined . Also traffic is crazy when it is raining . It makes kids more late and sometimes they can not help it . These are some of the reasons .

Majority of the Students in the Tusd walk to and from school without having a choice for valid reasons such as both parents work, no money for other type of transportation. Students walking in these harsh conditions is very critical.

These conditions are dangerous, not only in school campuses but for the many who have to walk to school in these dangerous conditions. Education is significant to our lives, that's why the conditions we are studying in are important as well
