SLA has been fencing off all the uninhibited and deserted coasts, they claims that illegal foreigners have been using these areas to enter Singapore. But,
1. Didn't we have night vision cameras which monitor the coasts
2. Isn't it better to have anglers as an extra eye to help monitor the coast
3. Isn't a fine of $500 plus 8 hours lockup too much for stepping onto deserted state land, some of which are not even fenced up.
4. Our park rangers and police are catching more illegal anglers than illegal immigrants. Ratio of 100 to 1.
5. Shouldn't police be installing more cameras on surrounding lands and coasts, instead of the lazy method of fencing up the coasts and hope the illegals didn't have fence cutters.
Please support and demand our government to stop prosecuting leisure anglers. Thanks

I am currently compiling the feedback from the community to draft a formal request for the Singapore Land Authority. This document will challenge the current enforcement strategy and propose a collaborative monitoring approach.

The increase in support has provided the necessary leverage to request a formal meeting with the Land Authority. We are currently drafting a letter that outlines our proposal for managed access to the Tanah Merah coastline.

Tanah merah should be a costline for fisherman,cause fisherman is also a security force which overseen illegal activities along the coastline and report it to authorities,like why our Gov build fences and industrial as a form of protection along shorelines.
Driving around Sg and found most of the costal are either reclaimed or blocked by buildings or simply fenced and locked.
pls have some thoughts for anglers.. we need to relax ourself after a 5 day work week
We Singaporean do need the space too to have the leisure in this island n relax hving the time out. We need our land n beaches to b free.
from coast to rivers to reservoir & even canals..we are forbid from any fishing activities..we are not living in Alcatraz,for goodness sake..
make it open to public... fishing is a good way to release tension in this ◤pay and pay◥ country...

Im a guardsman which i myself protect my country from all intruders!fishing cum protecting is in my blood.
