We are proposing a change on our campus to have sun screen dispensers installed within the Recreation Center here at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.

Every hour someone dies due to skin cancer.

San Luis Obispo on average has 280 sunny days; that is 77% of the year.

With your support, together we can help prevent the dangers of sun damage for the Cal Poly community.

Updates

October 29, 2014

I have been in contact with campus administration to discuss the logistics of installing these dispensers in the Recreation Center. It is encouraging to see the campus community engage with this concern regarding sun safety.

October 29, 2014

The momentum behind this proposal indicates that students prioritize wellness on our campus. We are now well positioned to approach the administration with a clear mandate for skin safety.
